Abstract

This project involves the design, marketing, and branding of a new professional women's ultimate frisbee team based in Colorado, created to expand the sport of ultimate. This will be accomplished with extensive research into women's sports history, sports branding, and ultimate frisbee. Descriptive research was conducted to have a better understanding of the design process and marketing strategy for ultimate frisbee teams. Many resources were used to perform the method of descriptive research. All the sources provided insight into target market demographics, marketing and promotional strategies, team merchandise design, and the overall brand identity of sports teams. The results are expected to include an identity system, brand collateral mainly focused on team apparel, fan merchandise, social media platforms, and interactive digital elements.
