Peron of Argentina after he received two miniature gun-lighters from Amon Carter, publisher of the Fort Worth (Tex.) Star Telegram. Carter presented the two cigaret lighters to the Argentine loader at the reception held by Peron in honor of visiting U.S. publishers, editors and government officials who arrived in Buenos Aires on Pan American World Airways' preinaugural flight, pre-viewing the super deluxe El Presidente service. Regular El Presidente service with double-deck Clippers began July 50. Shown left to right: Carter, Peron and Mrs. Peron.
