Description | Letter from Oscar Monnig in reply to Houston's letter of October 15. States that the "Sherman thing" is now properly being labeled as the Bells, Texas Meteorite and is the second fall in Texas within 102 days, both within 125 miles of one another. Also discusses the Harleton Meteorite (which was the other fall) and his disappointment in letting it go to the US Museum of Natural History and other scientists even though he had gotten there first. |
