Letter from O. A. Havren in Houston to Oscar Monnig stating that he observed the fireball of September 9th, as well as a mysterious large red ball after the explosion. Describes what he saw in detail, and wonders if it was the same thing as what Monnig and associates were looking for to the North, due to the incoming cloud cover from Hurricane Carla, or if he might have observed something else.
