dc.description.transcription | Dibble General Hosp. Menlo Park, Cal. 9-Nov.-45 Dear Grandma & Grandpa, I really haven't much to say except I'm in A-1 condition and getting mighty impatient to be out of here. I thought that I'd be released within two or three days after getting back here but I was wrong. It took about a week to examine me and it looks as if it will be another week before enough red tape is unraveled to let me go. After I get paid I'll get a car and drive back. Doris and her son Tommy will probably be with me. I know you'll be glad to see her. I'll stop by for Aunt Lois too, and you'll have lots of visitors. Everyone here is fine. I've met lots of people since I've been back. All the kids are healthy and doing fine. WEll, I can't think of anything else to write about so will close. Write soon with all the news from Broken Bow. Lots and Lots of love to all Smith. S. L. Green 45 Jersey St. San Francisco, Cal. Mr. W.M. Green Box 426 Broken Bow, Okla. Rec'd Nov-12 | |
