Feb. 24-1946 Springfield, Ohio Hi Greenie: I sure was glad to hear form you. Your letter sounded like you have been having a swell time, and hope you continue to have a good time. You want to watch these shooting scrapes, because these damn lawers (cops) can ask some of the damnest questions. Your autombile sure sounds like a dream. I am still driving my Plymouth cab that I had before I went to the Army. Of course you know, I got that motorcycle I always talked about. "61" HArley. Top speed is about 115. I don't know weather I am going to stay in the Army or not. I am going to Santa Ana Calif. May 1st for discharge. I am going to try to look you up when I come through your part of the country. My "little woman" you asked about merried a Lt. while I was gon. She was only merried 4 days when I was reported alive. She almost flipped her lid. When I arrived in Frisco she left town and hasn't been home since. She is supposed to land at Dayton Air Port today. I don't know what will happen, but she says, she can't go on this way. Her old man says she can have me - so what. I drinking my share of the whisky and beer. I weigh 200. Well, "Honcho" I'll close and get some sleep. Hoping to hear from you soon. Your Pal F.T. Niday "86"-21E" P.S. Tell "Tap" to ans. my letter. NIDAY 2/24/46 M/Sgt. Smith L. Green Box 426 Broken Bow, Okla. T./Sgt. F.T. Niday 201 N. Yellow Springs St. Springfield, Ohio
