Abstract
God is queer beyond our wildest imaginations. In the beginning, we too were created to be queer in God's image. In a world full of normative pressures and distractions, the call of God on our lives is to live into the queer that God created us to be in the first place. The Courage to Be Queer is a theological exploration of what happens when we come out of the closet of normative living, push deeply into the Queer within and let queerness guide us into the biblical text. The queer radical orthodoxy that emerges is a stunning rejection of the closet of classic biblical interpretations and an embrace of the Queer creator of us all. No more lines. No more boundaries. No more closets. God is uncontainably queer and so are we--Abstract.
