dc.description.abstract | Research has shown the importance of innovation in the workplace and its effect on the employee's emotional commitment. However, research has not proven that there is a directly positive correlation between workplace innovation and employee retention. Similarly, research has shown the importance of the employee-supervisor relationship, but not with respect to creative participation in the workplace. This study was conducted with a sample of 99 employees from the Midwestern manufacturing company. Results demonstrate there is a strong relationship between participation in creativity in the workplace and retention. No statistically significant support was found for the relationship between participation in creativity in the workplace and the employee-supervisor relationship. This study has extensive academic and practical implications, suggesting creative participation significantly increases employees' retention rates. | |
