Letter from Oscar Monnig to Frederick Leonard telling him that he had gone ahead and acquired the majority of the stone from Van Long during his Tulsa trip, albeit for $250. He states that Van Long had bluffed about being in discussions with Ward's, and that a part of the piece he had reserved for himself had already been sold off to a local science teacher-thus prompting his own urgency in acquiring it before it was all sold off piecemeal. He indicates that he fully intends to work with Leonard to dispense with pieces and parts of the stone to various collections.
