Letter from Oscar Monnig to Elvin Phipps inquiring as to whether he might be willing to meet with Monnig in Wichita on a Saturday and help drive him around the region of Sumner County, Kansas that lies along the line where the Belle Plaine meteorites fell. He reasons that it should only take two days to speak with all the property owners/residents as it is farming country, and thus sparsely populated. Offers to pay for all of Phipps' car expenses, plus a reasonable extra fee, or to rent a car if Phipps does not own one.
