Letter from Edward P. Henderson (of the Smithsonian Institution) to Robert Maringer (of the Battelle Memorial Institute) with a carbon copy for Oscar Monnig. Apologizes for the delay in his response to Maringer's may 10th letter. States that the delay has largely been because he was hopeful to have more to say on the Tishomingo meteorite, but that Monnig's negotiations have stalled due to the owner demanding an unreasonably high price, and that they have continued to delay publication on their findings related to the stone so as to not cause the owner to try to demand an even more out-sized price. Discusses plans to do a presentation on Ataxites for the next Meteoritical Society conference.
