Letter from Edward P. Henderson (of the Smithsonian Institution) to Oscar Monnig apologizing for the delayed response to his letter of February 24th. Outlines why he feels it would be best for Monnig to not send out the small specimen he has on loan with the Smithsonian to the city of Tishomingo for a temporary display, but rather send on one of his larger fragments. In particular, he laments how easy it is to harm smaller pieces, as had recently happened to another meteorite piece which the museum had lent out.
