Letter from Oscar Monnig to Edward P. Henderson (of the Smithsonian Institution) expressing his deep concern and dismay that they have not been able to find the 5 1/2 pound Tishomingo specimen. Sends on copies of particular letters and receipts, and references other letters that he assumes Henderson has copies of in his files. Asks that Henderson make the upmost effort to locate the misplaced specimen, and if it is not found before he takes his vacation to have others continue the search in his absence.
