dc.descriptionLetter from Oscar Monnig to Edward P. Henderson (of the Smithsonian Institution) stating that he only had seen Henderson's most recent letter after he had sent his most recent letters from the Monnig Store. States that he understands Henderson's desire to secure some amount of the Tishomingo meteorite for the Smithsonian and promises to try to secure the remaining large Tishomingo specimens within the month, though he has been busy with other things. Also expresses disgust with the federal government relating to the King Assassination Riots/ Holy Week Uprising, and repeats his idea that the Smithsonian should move its collections to the central part of the country.
