H. H. Nininger, A. M. Director Researching Cutting, Polishing The Nininger Laboratory Meteorites Office 1955 Fairfax Street Denver September 6.1933 The specimen arrived and has been examined. It appears to be a metallic cinder of which we find a few. They seem to result from fusion of iron ore which has been mixed with coal. This one shows the imprint of a piece of charcoal in the cavity which almost divides it. I am returning the specimen which is, unfortunately of no value. At the suggestion of Mr. Buttles I am sending you along with the cinder, a stony meteorite of recent fall and one from an old fall badly discolored by rust. These are to be used as an exhibit in connection with your coming convention. I have selected duplicates so that they may be purchased, if desired. I am always glad to examine specimens for you. Sincerely yours, H. H. Nininger HHN/AN P.S. I will appreciate if you will exhibit with the specimens a card giving the Nininger Laboratory credit.
