H. H. Nininger, A. M. Director Researching Cutting, Polishing The Nininger Laboratory Meteorites Office 1955 Fairfax Street Denver Sept. 28, 1934 Mr. Oscar E. Monnig, 312 W. Leuda, Ft. Worth, Texas. Dear Friend Monnig: Yours of Sept. 20th. at hand. Thanks for all of your trouble. The Perry paper is surely interesting. I had never seen it before. I am returning it to you. I have received ten Deport specimens all told. They were all found east and south of town except one and it was found within the village. However, a rusty file mark on it when found indicates that it had been found at an earlier date and cast away so who knows. There is some uncertainty as to the locations from which the others came but apparently they were found from 1/2 mile to 2 miles from the town. In regard to your paper on the Odessa Crater, you may write to President Leonard, Dept. of Astronomy, University of California at Los Angeles, he has it and expects to use it, I believe, in the "notes" in Popular Astronomy. I have written Dr. Benedict and I hope you may hear from him. Sincerely, H. H. Nininger HHN/AN P.S. For further information on the location of the Deport specimens you might correspond with Roy Williamson, Deport as he sent in the specimens. HHN
