dc.description.transcription | 1957, Dec. 2 Dear Jess: I certainly appreciated your sending me the piece of iron which you thought was a meteorite. It didn't look exactly like the others to me, and I have kept it a while in order to test it. I have concluded it is not a meteorite, but a piece of artificial iron, so I am returning it to you. I kept one little bit of a chip off it for further checking, and you might just keep this main mass around for a while. If I change my mind and decide it is a meteorite, will send you a check soon and ask you to return it to me. But I really don't believe it is one. Thanks for your trouble and for remembering me. Sincerely yours, | |
