dc.description.transcription[engraved letterhead] "SAVAGE CLUB" TELEGRAMS - LONDON. SAVAGE CLUB, ADELPHI, W.C.2. TELEPHONE - REGENT 3289. GERRARD 2927. Jan 10. '29 My dear Mr Wells I cannot lay hands on those papers - I told you we were moving. So I haste to tell you so. I'll send them on for you to look at. My regards to Mrs Wells. I pray that our old enemy [p. 2] the Atlantic will be kind to you both. Yours sincerely H.M. Tomlinson [flourish] P.S., I've ventured to tell Mr Frank V. Morely (younger brother of Kit) to call on you. He will be in New York shortly - he is a resident here (Century Co.). One of the best critics & most sagacious minds I know. You'll like him.
