Letter from A. H. Cutter (of Lowell, Oklahoma) to Oscar Monnig informing him that he is sending on what he believes to be a meteorite specimen, but which other's who have been asked to analyze it either have deemed it not to be, or have never returned his contact. Makes it clear that he will allow Brown to see the full specimen if he would like, but that if it is a meteorite he has no wish to sell it.

Lovell, Okla. Jan. 26, 1937 Dear Mr. Monnig: I am sending you a rock I found in a field about a half of a mile west of where Eddie Johnson found his meteorite. It has been showed to quite a number of people that saw that other piece and they said it looked like it. After I found it I thought it looked like a piece of coal and tried to burn it over an oil stove but it would not burn. Out of all the rocks I found this is the only one that looks like a meteorite and I put in about 300 ft. of wheat and looked as I went over the ground. If I am fortunate enough to find a piece I will sell it if you want it. Please let me know promptly whether this is a meteorite. If it is not I want the rock returned. Yours Sincerely A.H. Cutter Lovell Okla.
