BOX 2200 Fort Worth I Texas 1621 Main Street December 6, 1957 Wall & Son Box 7 Elida, New Mexico AttnL Mr. J Embry Wall Gentlemen’s We appreciates your letter of November 18th assuring us that you hoped to get some receipts from the sale of livestock before December 1st, and send us your $326.65 balance by that time. I can understand that there might have been some delay and I don’t wish to harass you, but write to remind you of this again, and express my hope that you will be able to get this money to us before December closes, as we are anxious for it to be clear on our ledger by that time. Mr. Wall, I want to ask you a personal favor. As a hobby I collect meteorites, and some year ago I got a large one from near Fluvana, Texas. A Mr. Leo Morris, said to live at Elida in 1948, was supposed to have some scrapes of it which I was anxious to get, but I never could hear from Mr. Morris when I wrote him. Do you know this Mr. Leo Morris, or have you ever heard of him, and do you know where he is now? He possibly was just a cowboy or a worker and might have been only transient there. I understood his father was named Alva Morris an that perhaps he lived with his mother. If you have any information about this man, I would like to get in touch with him to see if he has any of the pieces of this meteorite that I could procure. With kindest regards, we are Yours Sincerely, Monnig Dry Goods Company By: Oscar E. Monnig Vice President OEM: e1 cc to Eubank | |
