dc.description.transcription | Dear Mr Monnig: I knew Dr J E Hawkins well from 1933 to his death butknow nothing about the meteorite. (over) At one time during the 1950s I often hunted Indian Arrow points and other Indian artifacts with my sone and exchanged information about good hunting grounds on several occasions with Dr Hawkins. He told me of several good sites in McLennan County, primarily along the Brazos in the vicinity of Waco. I would presume he found the meteorite in this area on one of his hunts. Abner V. McCall | |
