dc.description.transcription | Mar. 3, 1973 Oscar E. Monnig Ft. Worth, Tex. 76134 Dear Monnig:- Re your letter of Feb. 11, Subject Meteorites. I have no information about the so-called Hawkins meteorite. My relations with Prof Hawkins over several years was unfortunate as I found him secretive, and unethical when it came to Indian Artivacts. He was merely a collector, not an archeologist, the type of man who very gladly goes with you on trips but never offered to return the favor. So, its no suprise no one knows anything about his collections & Personally I have never found a meteorite in or near a campsite other than some the size of marbles. I would like to retain your slide form my records. Thanks for your letter Frank H Watt | |
