dc.description.transcription | envelope "Mr A S Parker" Harper, Texas September 9, 1943 Dear Mr. Monnig: It was a pleasure to hear from you again, and I hope that before too long you can pay us a visit to make further investigations of meteorites. I have recently made a trip to the Texas Memorial Museum at Austin to see about my 293 pound meteorite which has been there for the past five years. It seems that the Museum does not have sufficient funds to purchase the meteorite at this time. If you are interested in buying it, please let me know you best offer, as I am getting prices quoted from other museums. The ranchers are weathering the war situation all right except for shortage of labor, and high cost of food. With best regards, I am Sincerely yours, Vester Parker | |
