dc.description.abstract | This paper seeks to evaluate the potential success of Wal-Mart's operations in India. As a developing economy, India has many opportunities for corporations, especially in its retail industry. With a small presence in India, Wal-Mart has the potential to expand and increase its profit through operations in India. However, India's unique culture and market may present some barriers to the success of Wal-Mart in India. This paper will assess the situation through an analysis of Indian culture, the Indian retail industry, and factors that may hinder or benefit Wal-Mart's opportunities in India. | |
