Author | Clarke, Roy S., Jr. |
Date | 1969-12-09 |
Description | Letter from Roy S. Clarke Jr. (Associate Curator of the Smithsonian Institution Division of Meteorites) to Oscar Monnig stating that after they had spoken in Houston he had gone back into the records relating to the Bells meteorite specimen in their possession to see what he could find had been done with it. Outlines those details, and how they would appear to indicate that both their and the American Museum samples are of a terrestrial origin, before asking if Monnig would be willing to lend them his sample for non-destructive testing so that more can possibly be learned about the Bells meteorite, including giving it a proper classification. |
