| Description | Letter from Oscar Monnig to Dr. Edward P. Henderson (of the U.S. National Museum, Division of Mineralogy and Petrology) stating that he did not manage to observe the fall or the subsequent shock wave of the recent meteorite due to conditions at least partly outside of his control. However, he is sure that it was a meteorite fall, and has been working with two fellow Texas Observers to try to gather information-unfortunately Hurricane Carla's passage did have an impact on the local environment. |
